Donald Trump Announces Launch Of Social Media Platform 'Truth Social' After Being Permanently Banned From Twitter, Facebook
On October 21, Donald Trump, former US President announced the launch of his own social media app. Titled TRUTH Social, Trump said it would "stand up to Big Tech" companies such as Twitter and Facebook. Trump was banned from Twitter and suspended from Facebook after his supporters stormed the US Capitol on January 6.
