Diwali or Deepavali is the most auspicious festival of the Hindu calendar. The festival of lights usually falls between October and November each year. Diwali is a five-day festival which starts with Dhanteras and ends with Bhai Dooj. The main Diwali festival is observed on the third day. People light up their houses with diyas, candles, and lights.
