As this rumour gained momentum, LatestLY reached out to a source close to Salman Khan, who categorically denied any involvement by the actor in rewarding Arshad Nadeem. The source revealed that the video originated in Punjab, Pakistan, and contains unauthentic information. The clip featuring Salman Khan was created by Faheem Qaisrani, who runs a YouTube channel called Faheem Sportz. This channel has also produced a similar video falsely claiming that MS Dhoni gifted a car to Arshad Nadeem.
