Delhi Ends Lockdown, Haryana Extends Restrictions Till June 21; What’s Allowed & What’s Not

Lockdown restrictions will be further relaxed in Delhi from June 14 as new Covid-19 cases continue to decline, Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal announced on June 13. Kejriwal said that it was imperative to revive the economy as many people are struggling for survival. This has to be done while keeping the possibility of a third wave in mind, he said.

Delhi entered a stringent lockdown on the late evening of April 19. Till now, shops in markets and malls had to follow the odd-even formula.  That rule has been removed under the latest guidelines. Dine-in services at restaurants have been allowed with 50% capacity. But cinemas & multiplexes will not be allowed to start.  Gardens and parks will remain closed. Swimming pools, sports complexes have also not been allowed to reopen as yet.

Meanwhile, The Haryana government on June 13 extended the statewide Covid-19 induced lockdown by a week, till June 21. It has allowed a few relaxations amid a dip in the daily cases. Watch the video to know more.
