Delhi Airport’s Lockdown Exit Plan Includes Ultraviolet Tunnels, Separate Entry Gates For Airlines

Delhi airport has released a list of guidelines and SOPs (Standard operating procedures) for both staff and passengers in anticipation of flight operations being restarted once the lockdown is lifted. Reportedly, initial flight operations will be allowed only in Terminal 3. Several measures will be brought in place at the airport to curb the spread of the deadly virus. There will be marked areas outside and inside the terminals and airport buses to ensure social distancing is maintained. Widespread provision of hand sanitisers, thermal screening of all passengers and disinfection of baggage carts/trolleys will also be put in place. All passenger baggage will also be passed through UV (Ultraviolet) disinfection. Under the revised system, each airline is allocated a certain number of check-in rows and entry gates and passengers for one airline will not be allowed to use facilities designated for another. Visitors entry into all terminals will be prohibited. Watch the video to know more
