Delhi Airport: One Killed, Five Injured After Roof Places at Terminal 1 Amid Heavy Rainfall, Union Minister Ram Mohan Naidu Monitoring Situation
One person died after a portion of the roof of the Delhi airport's Terminal-1 fell on June 28, officials of the Delhi Fire Services (DFS) said as reported by PTI. One of the injured succumbed during treatment. At least five people were injured in the incident. Of the six, one was rescued from a car on which an iron beam had fallen. Many cars and cabs were damaged as the roof fell amid heavy rain. Three fire-tenders were sent to the airport after a call about the incident was received by the DFS around 5:30 am. All departures from Terminal 1 were temporarily suspended, a Delhi airport spokesperson told NDTV.
