Larsen & Toubro Chairman SN Subrahmanyan is facing significant criticism for his recent remarks suggesting that employees should work 90 hours a week. In a video that circulated on Reddit, he implied that work should take precedence over personal life, even questioning, “How long can you stare at your wife?” He also expressed regret that Sunday work couldn’t be mandated, saying, “If I can make you work on Sundays, I will be more happy because I work on Sundays.” Actress Deepika Padukone, known for her advocacy for mental health, has strongly condemned Subrahmanyan’s comments.
