Millions have been affected by Covid-19 in China. As cases have been rising in China and around the world, mock drills will be held across several facilities in India. The mock drills will take place on December 27, 2022 to ensure that hospitals are ready with the necessary equipment, manpower etc. On December 26, India reported 196 new Covid-19 cases. The active caseload now stands at 3,428 cases. India witnessed two new Covid-19 related deaths in the last 24 hours. As per the Union health Ministry, the total number of infections now stands at 4,46,77,302. Random testing has started at various airports across the country amid the rising cases of Covid-19.
