Covid-19 In India: 12,591 New Cases Recorded In Single Day; Active Cases Surge To 65,286

India recorded 12,591 new Covid-19 cases in a single day, highest in nearly eight months. Active cases have surged to 65,286, as per the Union Health Ministry. Death toll has increased to 5,31,230 with 40 fatalities in the past 24 hours. Total tally of coronavirus cases was recorded at 4.48 crore. National Covid-19 recovery rate stands at 98.67 per cent.
