COVID-19 Impact On Cricket: Temporary Ban On Using Saliva To Swing Balls
ICC Cricket Committee has recommended a ban on the use of saliva to shine the cricket ball in view of the COVID-19 virus scare. Cricket matches, just like other sports, were suspended following the outbreak of coronavirus. The sport is now moving towards resumption, and to kick-start things, a ban on saliva has been recommended as a precautionary measures. Saliva is issued by bowlers to shoe the ball and it helps in achieving the extra swing.
