COVID-19: Doctors In WB Given Plastic Raincoats, Sunglasses Instead Of Personal Protective Equipment

The doctors in North Bengal Medical College and Hospital (NBMCH) have complained about the poor quality of personal protective equipment distributed to them. They said they were provided with plastic raincoats instead of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) while treating COVID-19 patients. While speaking to ANI, one of the doctors said, “The authority is not able to supply face masks, hand gloves and other equipments. Health workers are not getting anything which is a major concern. If the health workers get infected, then what will be the scenario of health system?” There are total 22 positive cases of coronavirus in West Bengal. According to the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, the total number of COVID-19 active cases rose to 1117 in India including 32 deaths.
