On March 31, Shanghai authorities appealed to residents to keep cooperating with the strict regulations. Several restrictions have been imposed in Shanghai to stop the spread of Covid-19. The plea came as Covid-19 cases in Shanghai eased, for the first time in about two weeks. Outbreak of the highly contagious Omicron variant began in Shanghai nearly a month ago, reported Reuters.
