Chhath is celebrated on the sixth day of Diwali. Chhath Puja is celebrated in several parts of the country including Bihar, Jharkhand and Uttar Pradesh. Chhath Puja is observed annually on the sixth day of Shukla Paksha of Kartik month for the attainment of children and their happy life. This fast goes on for four days. As the sun god is worshiped on this day, it is also called Surya Shashthi. This year Chhath Puja will be observed on Wednesday, November 10.
