Chennai Rains: Imd Warns Of Heavy Rainfall On November 10, 11

Chennai and other areas in Tamil Nadu have witnessed incessant rains since November 6. Reportedly, four people have lost their lives in rain-related incidents. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has warned of heavy rains on November 10 and 11IMD tweeted, “Extremely heavy rainfall spells over Tamil Nadu during 10th-11th November.” IMD further tweeted, “Under its influence, a low pressure area is very likely to form over southeast Bay of Bengal & neighbourhood during next 24 hours.” SN Pradhan, NDRF DG, told ANI, “The first stage of the Chennai rains is almost over. However, IMD has predicted extreme rainfall for the next 3 days. Hence, more than 20 NDRF teams will be deployed in Tamil Nadu & Andhra Pradesh.” Chief Minister MK Stalin had announced holiday for schools in Chennai, Tiruvallur, Kancheepuram & Chengalpet districts.
