INDIA Team Latestly|

Chennai Drought: Failed rains last year and delays in this year’s annual monsoon have left South India facing drought-like conditions. Chennai-based hospitals are crying for rains and to tackle the permanent crisis, they are relying on the water trucks and bottled water for surgeries. In such situations tanker mafias are gaining momentum and are charging almost Rs 5,000 to Rs 7,000 for 20,000 litres of water.
