Charanjit Channi’s Emotional Speech After Becoming Punjab CM, Says ‘Today An Aam Aadmi Sits Here’

Charanjit Singh Channi was sworn in as the new chief minister of Punjab on September 21. After the ceremonial oath was concluded, Channi gave his first press conference in which he spoke about his childhood. He said that political parties claim they represent the common man, but his elevation to the chief minister’s chair shows that Congress actually put a common man in the post. He spoke about his humble origins, and also promised to work for the farmers.
