Centre Withdraws Aadhaar Authority Photocopy Misuse Warning
On May 29, the central government withdrew a statement that asked people not to share photocopies of Aadhaar over misuse risks, reported NDTV. Centre withdrew the statement "in view of the possibility of the misinterpretation of the press release," reported NDTV. In an earlier statement, the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) suggested the use of masked Aadhaar, which shows only the last four digits of the document. UIDAI said not to share photocopies of the unmasked document with random organisations. Watch the video to know more.
