Bypoll 2021 Results: Mamata Banerjee's Big Win In Bhabanipur

On October 3, Mamata Banerjee, West Bengal Chief Minister, won the Bhabanipur bypoll with a record margin of 58,832 votes. Mamata Banerjee defeated Bharatiya Janata Party’s Priyanka Tibrewal. Banerjee received over 82,000 votes, while Tibrewal got over 25,000 votes. The third spot was occupied by CPIM candidate Srijib Biswas. By winning the assembly bypoll, Banerjee has been able to retain the CM’s chair. CM Banerjee thanked the people of Bhabanipur after her victory. Banerjee had lost the West Bengal Assembly elections 2021 to BJP's Suvendu Adhikari from Nandigram. TMC won the bypolls on all the three assembly seats in West Bengal. TMC leaders Jakir Hossain and Amirul Islam won from Jangipur and Samserganj assembly constituency respectively. BJD leader Rudra Pratap Maharathy has won the Pipli assembly seat.
