‘Border 2’: Sunny Deol Welcomes ‘Fauji’ Varun Dhawan on Board for Epic War Film; Actor Calls ‘It a Very Special Moment in His Career’

On August 23, the makers of ‘Border 2’ officially announced that Varun Dhawan has joined the film's cast. Sunny Deol also gave a warm welcome to the actor, referring to him as ‘Fauji’. The announcement video began with a song from ‘Border’, followed by Varun delivering a powerful monologue. Dhawan also penned a heartwarming note, expressing his joy at being part of India’s biggest war film. Varun said that playing a role in ‘Border 2’ is a very special moment in his career. The upcoming epic war film is a sequel to the 1997 hit, led by Sunny Deol. ‘Border 2’ is scheduled to release during the Republic Day weekend, on January 23, 2026.
