Bollywood On Farmer Protests: Akshay Kumar, Ajay Devgn, Karan Johar, Ekta Kapoor, Suniel Shetty & Others Call For Unity After Rihanna’s Comment
Actors Akshay Kumar, Ajay Devgn, Anupam Kher, Suniel Shetty; filmmaker Karan Johar; and producer Ekta Kapoor have called for unity, a day after several international figures, including singer Rihanna & activist Greta Thunberg, commented on the ongoing farmers’ protest. Sharing the MEA statement, Akshay Kumar said, “Let’s support an amicable resolution, rather than paying attention to anyone creating differences.” In a tweet, Ajay Devgn said, “Don’t fall for any false propaganda against India or Indian policies.” Karan, restricting replies to his tweet, wrote, “Let us not let anyone divide us.” Ekta Kapoor said, "Let's stand united against any propaganda.” Legendary singer Lata Mangeshkar also joined the growing list and said that the country is capable of solving problems "amicably". Suniel Shetty and singer Kailash Kher also tweeted saying India can solve its problems.
