Anbazhagan, 61, a DMK MLA, was admitted to hospital on June 2 over ‘severe acute respiratory distress’ and had tested positive for COVID-19 at the time. Tamil Nadu is the second worst-hit state in India with over 34,914 COVID-19 cases & 307 deaths. The numbers in India now stands at 2,76, 583 with 7,745 deaths.
