Bhopal Gas Tragedy: Big Setback For Centre; Supreme Court Dismisses Plea For Additional Compensation Of Rs 7,400 Crore

On March 14, Supreme Court of India dismissed a petition filed by the Centre concerning the Bhopal gas tragedy. Centre demanded an additional compensation of Rs 7,400 crore from the successor firms of Union Carbide Corporation (UCC) for the victims of 1984 tragedy.
