Bharat Bandh 2020 On January 8: From Trains To Banks, Which Services Will Be Affected Across India?

Ten Central trade unions have announced that they will go on a general strike on January 8, 2020. According to a joint statement released by them, the strike is to protest the "anti-people" policies of the NDA government. Trade unions like INTUC, AITUC, HMS, CITU, AIUTUC, TUCC, SEWA, AICCTU, LPF, UTUC will participate in the strike. The trade unions  anticipate that 25 crore Indians – union members as well as non-members are likely to participate in the Bharat Bandh 2020. About 60 organisations of students and elected office bearers have also confirmed their participation.
