Bengaluru: 22-Year-Old Infosys Techie Dies After Car Gets Stuck In Flooded Water As Rains Lash Karnataka

On May 21, a 22-year-old woman drowned in Bengaluru, Karnataka. The woman was travelling in a car with her family when it got stuck in neck-deep water at KR Circle underpass. Fire and emergency services personnel saved five members of the family and the driver. Victim as well as the others were rushed to the St Martha's Hospital. Doctors declared the woman, identified as Bhanurekha, dead. Chief Minister Siddaramaiah rushed to the hospital & announced a compensation of Rs 5 lakh to the relatives of the dead and free treatment for those admitted in the hospital.
