Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia Announces New Rules Regarding Flight Delays, Says There Will Be ‘War Rooms At Airports’

On January 16, Union Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia issued an action plan to deal with fog related disturbance to domestic and international flight operations. The disruptions have resulted in the delay or cancellation of several flights. Scindia took to X to share a six-point action plan. He said, “War rooms' will be set up by airports and airline operators at all six metros to address any issues with regard to passenger inconvenience with immediacy.” He added, “Sufficient CISF manpower will be ensured round-the-clock.” The minister also said that Runway 29L had been made CAT III operational. He further said, “Operationalisation of RWY 10/28 as CAT III at Delhi Airport after re-carpeting will also be undertaken.” Watch the video to know more.
