Assam Assembly Polls 2021: BJP Is Leading In 78 Of The 126 Seats, Far Ahead Of Its Rival Congress
The ruling BJP-led NDA in Assam is leading in 78 assembly seats, while the Grand Alliance spearheaded by the Congress is ahead in 48 places. The majority mark in Assam is 64. BJP is looking to create history in the state by becoming the only non-Congress government to win consecutive terms. However, for the saffron party, this election was very different from the other states as Assam was the only place where it was fighting to retain power.
