The world’s biggest carbon sink – the Amazon rainforests are ablaze. Huge tracts of the Amazon rainforest in Brazil are being ravaged by fires that are being called the most intense in over a decade. The official figures show more than 75,000 forest fires were recorded in Brazil in the first eight months of 2019 - the highest number since 2013. This development has celebrities who support environment causes posting about it on their various social media accounts. From Leonardo Di Caprio to Arjun Kapoor, Hollywood and Bollywood stars have taken to their social media accounts to highlight this environmental disaster.
