Amit Shah Announces Scrapping Of Article 370, Bifurcation of Jammu & Kashmir

In a historic move, the NDA government has announced that Article 370 which grants special status to Jammu & Kashmir has been scrapped by presidential order. Union Home Minister Amit Shah also announced that the state of Jammu & Kashmir will be bifurcated into two parts – the union territories of Jammu & Kashmir, and the union territory of Ladakh.
