Akhilesh Yadav Begins UP Assembly Poll 2022 Campaign With 'Rath Yatra' From Ghazipur To Lucknow
On November 17, Akhilesh Yadav, Samajwadi Party chief, held a ‘Vijay Rath Yatra’ on the Purvanchal Expressway in Uttar Pradesh. Prime Minister Narendra Modi had inaugurated the expressway just a day before Yadav’s yatra. Akhilesh Yadav promised to “wipe out the BJP” in the elections to be held in UP in 2022. The Samajwadi Party chief has been claiming that the 340 km-long expressway was initiated by his party. Yadav targeted the BJP and said, “There will be a change in UP in 2022, for sure.” Akhilesh said, “In 2022, change the government which is changing names." Yadav might contest the 2022 UP polls.
