Air India Cabin Crew Arrested For Smuggling 1.5 kg Of Gold; He Hid It Under The Sleeves In Kochi

On March 8, an Air India crew member was arrested at the Kochi Airport for smuggling gold, reported ANI. The crew member named Shafi was arrested by Customs officials at Kochi with 1,487 grams of gold. He is a native of Wayanad. As reported by ANI, Customs Preventive Commissionerate had received confidential information that a cabin crew member of the Bahrain-Kozhikode-Kochi service, was bringing gold.
