70th National Film Awards: Rishab Shetty Wins Best Actor for ‘Kantara’; Mithun Chakraborty Honoured With Dadasaheb Phalke Award; Check Winners List

The 70th National Film Awards ceremony was held at Vigyan Bhavan, New Delhi, on October 8. President Droupadi Murmu presented the awards. Rishab Shetty won the Best Actor award for his outstanding performance in the film ‘Kantara’. Manasi Parekh and Nithya Menen received the Best Actress honour for their films ‘Kutch Express’ and ‘Thiruchitrambalam’, respectively. Veteran actor Mithun Chakraborty was honoured with the prestigious Dadasaheb Phalke Award for his contribution to Indian cinema. Manoj Bajpayee won the Special Mention award for ‘Gulmohar.’ Other winners include Sooraj Barjatya (Best Director), Neena Gupta (Best Supporting Actress), Pawan Malhotra (Best Supporting Actor), and Sreepath (Best Child Artist). Earlier, in August this year, the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting announced the winners at a press conference.
