2 Cases Of COVID-19 Reinfection In Telangana; 23 MLAs Test Positive Ahead Of Punjab Assembly Session

Of the total 1,14,483 coronavirus cases in the state, Telangana Health Minister Etala Rajender on August 25 confirmed that two people have been reinfected with the deadly virus, raising fears about a second wave. However, the Director of Public Health DR G Srinivasa Rao said that the suspected patients are asymptomatic. They are re-examining the samples & ascertaining whether the patients got reinfected after getting exposed to a new strain of virus. Meanwhile, ahead of one day session of the Punjab Assembly on August 28, 23 MLAs & ministers have tested positive for coronavirus. At a video meet with Sonia Gandhi and chief ministers of seven opposition ruled states, Amarinder Singh informed about the grave situation. A latest test report is mandatory for the MLAs and Vidhan Sabha staff to attend the assembly session and most of the MLAs got themselves tested on August 25 and 26.
