12 Opposition Party Rajya Sabha MPs Suspended For Entire Winter Session By Modi Govt, TMC Calls It 'Dictatorial'

12 opposition Rajya Sabha MPs have been suspended for the entire winter session of parliament. The opposition said this decision was highly condemnable. Mallikarjun Kharge, leader of the opposition in Rajya Sabha tweeted the joint statement of the opposition and said, “We demand that this suspension of the twelve members be revoked.” MK Stalin, Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu said, “Such acts diminish the democratic spirit of the Parliament. I demand, on behalf of the DMK to revoke the suspension immediately.” Shiv Sena’s Priyanka Chaturvedi tweeted giving the reasons why the 12 MPs were suspended. She further tweeted saying, “Even the rules don’t permit carrying forward taking action from one session to another.
