New Delhi, October 16: YouTube has reportedly unveiled new features to improve user experience and giving its viewers more control on the platform. One of the key changes includes better playback speed controls to allow users to fine-tune their viewing experience more precisely. Additionally, YouTube now supports collaborative playlists by letting users work together to create and manage playlists.

According to a report of Moneycontrol, YouTube will offer new playback speed controls. These will give users more detailed options for adjusting the speed of videos. Users can adjust the playback speed of YouTube videos to 0.05x, a change from the previous settings of 0.25x. Users will be able to make adjustments and fine-tune how fast or slow a video plays for a personalised viewing experience. Samsung Likely To Remove Settings App in Galaxy Smartphones; Know Why.

Additionally, YouTube is also introducing collaborative playlists, which will allow multiple users to contribute to a single playlist. YouTube users will have the ability to share a link or a QR code with others to allow them to add videos to playlists. YouTube is improving the miniplayer feature in its mobile app, so users can resize and move it around while watching videos.

In landscape mode on Android, the app will show bigger thumbnails and text, with similar updates for iOS it is expected to come later this year. Additionally, users can create their own custom thumbnails for playlists using personal photos or by using YouTube's "Create with AI" feature.

YouTube also introduced a new feature called Sleep Timer which will allow users to set a timer that will automatically pause videos after a set amount of time. The feature was first tested with premium users in August and is now being made available to everyone on mobile devices. YouTube users will also be able to vote on videos in playlists later this year, which will help creators gather feedback on their content. Spotify CEO Daniel Ek Says Music Streaming Platform Expanded Audiobooks to Non-English Market for First Time, Elon Musk Reacts.

Additionally, YouTube Shorts will have a new look on the TV app. The update will allow viewers to interact with the content without interrupting their viewing experience. The  YouTube TV app will also include engaging video previews on channel pages. These updates are expected to roll out gradually, which will likely give users more flexibility in how they enjoy and share content on the platform.
