After introducing the Redmi Note 7 in China, Xiaomi is all set to launch the smartphone in the Indian market on February 28, 2019. The company officially revealed the launch date of the smartphone on its official twitter handle. The smartphone which was launched in China last month gets a starting price of 999 yaun (approximately Rs 10,500) for base variant - 3GB RAM and 32GB internal memory. On the specification front, the Redmi Note 7 from Xiaomi will sport a 6.3-inch FHD+ LTPS display with resolution of 2340x1080 pixels and aspect ratio of 19.5:9. Packed with 2.5D curved glass, the phone also gets Corning Gorilla Glass 5 for overall protection. Under the hood, the smartphone will be powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 660 chipset from Qualcomm. In the camera department, the phone gets a dual camera module featuring a 48MP Sony IMX586 sensor with f/1.8 aperture and a 5MP sensor. The company also claims that the overall photography experience is enhanced due to AI-backed software features. At the front, the smartphone will sport a 13MP camera for selfies and video calling. Additionally, the smartphone will also feature USB Type-C port, 3.5mm audio jack, 4G VoLTE, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and much more. The run MIUI 9 based on Android Oreo, the smartphone will be backed by a massive 4000 mAh battery with Quick Charge Support.

The pricing of the new Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 is expected to be in-line with the models launched in the China market. The 4GB RAM and 64GB of storage variant costs 1199 yuan (around Rs 12,400) whereas the top-end model with 6GB RAM is priced at 1399 yuan, which is around Rs 14,500.
