Xiaomi's selfie centric smartphone - Redmi Y2 was put on online sale last week on Amazon, which was launched in the country earlier this month. The smartphone will again go on sale tomorrow at 12pm IST via Amazon India. Priced at Rs. 9999, the Chinese smartphone making company is targeting the younger audience with the recently launched Y2 handset. Moving to the specifications, the Redmi Y2 is powered by a Snapdragon 625 SoC that is currently equipped on popular Redmi products, Note 4 & Note 5. The chipset is clubbed with up to 4GB of RAM and up to 64GB of internal storage capacity. Packed with 4000 mAh battery, the dual SIM smartphone gets a 5.99-inch HD+ display with 1440x720p resolution and 18:9 aspect ratio. However, the predecessor was fitted with a 5.5-inch display panel.
As far as the cameras are concerned, the smartphone comes fitted with vertically aligned rear dual camera in combination with 12MP primary sensor and 5MP secondary sensor with dedicated LED flash. The main highlight is the 16MP selfie camera which comes with LED flash, HDR mode and AI beautification mode. Lastly, coming to the prices, the Xiaomi Redmi Y2 handset will be made available tomorrow on Amazon India and Mi.com with a starting price of Rs. 9999 for 3GB + 32GB variant. On the other hand, the bigger variant with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage is priced at Rs. 12,999. Moreover, online buyers will be rewarded with cash back of Rs. 1800 along with 240GB of additional 4G data.
