Xiaomi, a popular Chinese smartphone company introduced its new smartphone Redmi Y2 in India earlier this month. The smartphone comes in two variants where the base model has a 32GB internal storage space with 3GB of RAM worth Rs. 9,999 while the top model comes with 64GB of onboard memory coupled with 4GB RAM priced at Rs. 12,999. The Redmi Y2 smartphones have three colour options to choose from – Dark Grey, Gold and Rose Gold.
Xiaomi Redmi Y2 previously went on sale this month at Amazon India and official website Mi.com. The smartphone yet again will go on sale tomorrow at 12 pm on Amazon India. With the upcoming sale, Airtel is offering the users with instant cashback of Rs. 1800 and up to 240GB of 4G data with recharge above or equal to Rs. 199 pack. Coming to specifications, the Redmi Y2 smartphone sports a 5.99-inch HD+ display. Under the hood, the smartphone packs a 2GHz Octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 SoC coupled with Adreno 506 graphics processor. The smartphone comes with a dedicated memory slot expandable up to 256GB along with two nano-SIM slots. The smartphone is loaded with a 3080mAh battery.
Now coming towards optics, the smartphone is fitted with a dual camera setup of 12MP+5MP at the rear while at the front a 16MP selfie shooter enhanced with AI-based capabilities. The front camera incorporates the new Artificial Intelligence which enables features like the AI Beautify 4.0 and Face-Unlock capabilities. The Redmi Y2 runs on the latest MIUI 10 based on 8.1 Android version. The smartphone also introduces full-screen gestures giving users the comfort and speed to carry out task easily through one-handed control.
