Xiaomi's recently launched Redmi Note 8 series smartphones will go on sale tomorrow. The interested customers can get their hands on the devices through Amazon India and Mi.com. The smartphones will also be available via Mi Home Stores. The handsets will go on sale from noon onwards. The company received an overwhelming response over the previous two sales wherein the handsets were sold out in minutes of sale commencement. We expect a similar reaction from the market for the next day, which is slated for tomorrow. The new Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 series packs a quad-camera module at the back and FHD+ displays upfront. The Chinese smartphone maker has also collaborated with Axis Bank wherein the customers will get an instant discount of 10 percent on the transaction made through Axis Bank credit and debit cards.

Talking about Redmi Note 8, the phone sports a 6.39-inch FHD+ dot-notch HDR display with 2280X1080 pixels of resolution. Under the hood, the phone gets an octa-core chipset which is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 SoC. The processor is mated with up to 6GB of RAM and up to 128GB of internal storage. The onboard storage can be expanded up to 512GB via microSD memory card. For optics, there is a quad-camera setup at the back, which comprises of a 48MP primary shooter, an 8MP wide-angle snapper, a 2MP macro lens and a 2MP depth sensor. There is a 13MP selfie camera with f/2.0 aperture. The phone packs a 4000 mAh battery with 18W fast charger. Moving on to Redmi Note 8, the smartphone is equipped with a bigger display which is a 6.53-inch HDR display with dot-notch. The panel comes with a resolution of 2340X1080 pixels and an aspect ratio of 19.5:9. Powering the phone is an octa-core MediaTek Helio G90T processor that is clubbed with up to 8GB of RAM and up to 128GB of onboard storage. Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 Pro also sports quad cameras at the rear consisting of a 64MP primary lens, an 8MP wide-angle lens, a 2MP depth sensor and a 2MP macro lens. Upfront, there is a 20MP snapper with f/2.0 aperture for selfies and video calling. The company has packed the phone with a 4500 mAh battery with 18W fast charging. It comes in three shades - Gamma Green, Halo White, and Shadow Black.

As far as the prices are concerned, the new Redmi Note 8 gets a starting price of Rs 9,999 for the base variant with 4GB RAM + 64GB variant. The top-of-the-line variant with 6GB RAM + 128GB storage will retail at Rs 12,999. On the other hand, the base variant of Redmi Note 8 Pro will retail at Rs 14,999. However, the mid variant with 6GB of RAM + 128GB storage will cost Rs 15,999. However, the top-end model with 8GB RAM + 128GB storage is priced at Rs 17,999.
