Xiaomi, the Chinese smartphone manufacturer has officially launched a new colour variant of Redmi Note 8. Called as Redmi Note 8 Cosmic Purple variant, it is the fourth colour option available for the customers. The smartphone will be available for the first sale during the Black Friday Sale 2019 which commences from November 29, 2019. With the inclusion of a new colour variant, the Redmi Note 8 now comes in four shades - Cosmic Purple, Space Black, Neptune Blue and Moonlight White. The Chinese smartphone manufacturer has recently confirmed that it had sold over 1 million units of Redmi Note 8 Series in the country since its launch last month. The company has confirmed that the new colour variant will be available for sale during the Black Friday till December 2, 2019. Xiaomi will be offering exciting offers during its Black Friday sale which is scheduled to commence from November 29. The interested customers will be able to get their hands on the new colour option at 12 pm IST onwards.

On the specification front, the Redmi Note 8 sports a 6.3-inch LCD screen with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection, offering a resolution of 2340X1080 pixels. The phone is powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 665 SoC that can be seen on Xiaomi Mi A3 phone, which is mated up to 6GB of RAM and up to 128GB of storage. The phone runs on MIUI 10 based on Android 9 Pie. The handset also comes with a dedicated microSD card slot for expanding internal storage up to 512GB. In terms of optics, the Redmi Note 8 is equipped with a quad-camera module at the rear. The setup includes a 48MP primary sensor with f/1.8 aperture along with an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens, a 2MP depth sensor and a 2MP macro lens. At the front, there is a single 13MP camera for video calling and selfies. The phone comes fuelled by a 4,000mAh battery with 18W fast charging technology. As far as the prices are concerned, the 4GB + 64GB storage variant is priced at Rs 9,999 whereas the bigger 6GB RAM + 128GB storage costs Rs 12,999.
