Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 series is one of the most selling smartphones from the Chinese phone maker. With the increasing demand for the smartphones, the company silently launched a new colour variant of Note 5 handset. Dubbed as Flame Red, the smartphone comes with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of onboard storage capacity. Priced at CNY 1,399 which is around Rs. 14,500, the new Red coloured variant is available for purchase from today onwards in China. With the introduction of new Flame Red colour, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 is now offered in total of 5 color options - Black, Gold, Rose Gold, Blue and Red. Previously, the Red coloured variant was spotted in April, hinting that the company could launch the same soon. As the company has officially launched the new Redmi Note 5 Flame Red in China, the new variant could make its India debut soon.
As far as the specifications are concerned, it remains the same for the new coloured variant. It sports a 5.99-inch FHD+ display panel with 2160 x 1080 pixels of resolution and aspect ratio of 18:9. Under the hood, the smartphone is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor with Adreno 506 GPU clubbed with up to 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage option. For photography, the new Redmi Note 5 sports a 12MP primary sensor with f/2.2 aperture and LED flash, while the front camera is a 5MP shooter. The secondary sensor comes with Beautify 3.0 and dedicated LED flash. The 4G handset from Xiaomi runs on MIUI 9 based on Android 7.1.2 Nougat and it is backed by a 4000 mAh battery. For connectivity, the device supports 4G VoLTE, Bluetooth, dual-SIM, WiFi, GPS and micro USB port.
