Xiaomi Redmi Go Could be Chinese Smartphone Maker's Cheapest Phone Ever; Likely To Be Priced Below Rs 5000
The upcoming Redmi Go smartphone will be Xiaomi's cheapest phone that will be launched in India by H1, 2019.
Xiaomi, a Chinese smartphone maker is currently India's leading phone maker with a massive product portfolio, which ranges from Redmi 6A and Redmi Note 6 Pro. However, the phone maker is looking to expand its product offerings for the Indian market. As per the market reports, Xiaomi will be introducing an entry level smartphone that will sit below the Redmi 6A in Xiaomi's product offerings. Likely to be powered by Android Go, the new smartphone will be priced below Rs 5000 as per the market rumours. To be packed with Android Go and segment best hardware, the upcoming Redmi Go phone could become another best-selling device from Xiaomi. On the specification front, the phone could sport a 5.9-inch display with 18:9 of an aspect ratio. Under the hood, the phone will be powered by a MediaTek processor. Moving on to the most important aspect - Pricing, it is believed that the Redmi Go phone will be the cheapest offering from Xiaomi in the Indian market. Currently, Redmi 6A is the cheapest phone from Xiaomi in India, which is priced at Rs 5999. As Redmi Go Phone will be positioned below Redmi 6A, the company will be looking to price the smartphone pretty competitively.
