The Chinese smartphone maker Xiaomi will be launching the new Redmi 8 smartphone in the country on October 9. This piece of information comes from the India Chief Manu Kumar Jain wherein he teased the smartphone via Twitter. According to the tweet from Xiaomi India Chief, the new Redmi 8 smartphone will be launched in India by next week. The teaser also revealed that the smartphone will pack a massive 4000 mAh battery along with a better camera. Additionally, the phone has also been spotted on Google Play Console that has revealed key specifications of the smartphone. Previously, the Chinese phone brand launched Redmi 8A in the country and now the company will be launching Redmi 8. The teaser image of the Redmi 8A shows numerical eight with camera sensors inside it. Taking this image into consideration, it indicates that the smartphone will be equipped with a a dual camera module. Going by the Google Play console listing, the Redmi 8 will be powered by a Snapdragon 439 SoC paired with Adreno 505 GPU. The device will pack a 3GB of RAM that will be clubbed with the chipset. The recently leaked render revealed that the new Redmi phone will pack a waterdrop-style display notch along with a capsule-shaped camera module at the back featuring two sensor. The rear panel of the phone will get a conventional fingerprint reader along with Redmi branding. As far as the specifications are concerned, the new Redmi 8 is expected to run on the latest Android 9 Pie OS with MIUI 10.0.1.3 on the top. The smartphone is expected to come in four exciting colours - Ash, Blue, Green, and Red.
