After launching Mi A2 in the domestic market, Xiaomi India is now expected to launch a range of new smartphones in the country. Xiaomi India head - Manu Kumar Jain revealed a teaser on his Twitter handle revealing a new campaign that states - ‘Desh ke Naye Smartphones’ are ‘Coming Very Soon’. A similar campaign was used by the company to tease the launch of Redmi 5A last year which stated - ‘Desh Ka Smartphone’. Going by the teaser, the Chinese smartphone is expected to launch an affordable Redmi 6 series in the domestic market. The tweet from the Xiaomi Head also features a short animated video which represents the Number 6 and illustrates three devices in the background. Taking this sketch into consideration, it is speculated that the company is gearing to launch three new devices in India that could be Redmi 6, Redmi 6A and Redmi 6 Pro. However, the company has not revealed any specific launch date or time frame for the same. All the three devices were previously launched in the Chinese market last year in June. As far as the specifications are concerned, both Redmi 6 and Redmi 6A share similar specs and features. The devices come fitted with a 5.45-inch HD+ 18:9 display. The Redmi 6 packs a MediaTek Helio P22 octa-core chipset, while Redmi 6A is powered by a MediaTek Helio A22 quad-core chipset. In the camera department, the Redmi 6 comes with a dual rear camera module featuring 12MP +5 MP, while Redmi 6A carries a single 13MP sensor. The former gets a fingerprint sensor, while Redmi 6A flaunts face unlock system. However, the remaining features remain the same which includes a 5MP front camera, 3000mAh battery and more. Moving on to Redmi 6 Pro, the upcoming smartphone is expected to be the most premium of the lot. The handset boasts a 5.84-inch FHD+ display with 19:9 aspect ratio. Powering the device is an octa-core Snapdragon 625 SoC clocked at 2GHz. The notch on the top of the screen features a selfie camera, earpiece and sensors. The phone will also feature a dual camera set up at the rear with similar specs to that of Redmi 6. The front camera is also expected to be borrowed from the younger siblings (5MP) for video calling and selfies. Backed by 4000 mAh battery, the smartphone runs MIUI 10 based on Android 8.1 Oreo.
