Xiaomi last month hosted a special event celebrating its 8th anniversary in China. The Chinese smartphone maker at the event unveiled its new device MI 8 which offers users a premium handset sporting a 6.21-inch FHD+ AMOLED display and the latest 845 Qualcomm Snapdragon SoC. Recently the smartphone company teased a poster showing a numerical ‘6’ at their official Weibo account, hinting fans about the upcoming Redmi 6 series on June 12.

As for the new Redmi series, many reports had leaked giving netizen the idea what they would be getting in the upcoming line-up. According to the leaked reports, Xiaomi could be revealing Redmi 6, Redmi 6 Pro and Redmi 6 A. The specifications and features of the smartphones have been leaked online, courtesy of few render images that surfaced recently on the internet.

Starting off with Redmi 6, the smartphone is expected to feature a 5.84-inch FHD+ display with 18:9 aspect ratio. The device is likely to get a Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 octa-core processor clocked at 2.0GHz. The smartphone could come in three variant - 16GB/2GB of RAM, 32GB/3GB of RAM, and 64GB/4GB of RAM. The device may also get a 3,900mAh battery and an Android Oreo-based MIUI 10.

Now coming to Redmi 6A, which is rumoured to sport a 5.45-inch HD+ 18:9 display. Under the hood, the device could get a Snapdragon 625 octa-core SoC and may have three variants segregated by storage and memory. Further, it is also expected to come with a 13MP rear camera, 5MP front-facing camera, 3,000mAh battery and Android Oreo-based MIUI 10. Finally, the Redmi 6 Pro is also expected to have the same display and processor as Redmi 6. It is likely to sport a dual rear camera setup, 5MP front camera, 4,000mAh battery and Android Oreo-based MIUI 10.
