Xiaomi, a well-known Chinese smartphone company recently introduced Redmi 6 and Redmi 6A at an event held in China. Earlier this week, the Chinese smartphone maker confirmed that it will launch the third variant – Redmi 6 Pro in China on June 25. According to reports from Gizmochina, Xiaomi released a few images of the upcoming smartphone online, which revealed that the screen will carry a notch.
Additionally, the Chinese phone manufacturer also shared a post on Weibo website stating that the new smartphone will have an option to hide the notch. This may not seem like a new feature, as many smartphone companies have already adopted this option in their devices, eg: OnePlus 6 smartphone’s recent update allows notch hiding feature. Coming to specifications, the company has yet to share the details but we expect that the smartphone may come with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor likely to be paired up to 6GB of RAM. The device is expected to have a 64GB of internal storage space with expandable memory slot. In terms of optics, we are sure that Redmi 6 Pro will feature a dual rear camera setup as per the official images. However, it is expected that the device could be introduced with a 12MP primary sensor and 5MP secondary sensor while at the front a 5MP selfie shooter is likely to be on offer. The new smartphone may feature a 4,000mAh battery. Also regarding the OS, the phone may run on the latest Android Oreo-based MIUI 10.
