Xiaomi Redmi 6 Pro Launched in China with Dual Camera, AI Face Unlock; First Flash Sale Tomorrow at 10am CST
Xiaomi on Sunday launched the new Redmi 6 Pro smartphone along with the new Mi Pad 4 tablet which gets a starting price of 999 (around Rs. 10,400).
Xiaomi, a leading Chinese smartphone manufacturing company has finally launched the new Redmi 6 Pro handset in China on Sunday. Prices starting at CNY 999 (around Rs. 10,400), the smartphone was speculated to launch on June 6. The company has also launched the new Mi Pad 4 tablet alongside the budget smartphone. Featuring a notch on the display with 19:9 aspect ratio, the smartphone will go on sale today in China. Talking about the availability, the flash sale of the newly launched Xiaomi Redmi 6 Pro smartphone is slated for tomorrow at 10 am CST which will be offered in 3 variants - 3GB/32GB , 4GB/32GB and 4GB/64GB. The device is already been listed on the official website wherein the base model is priced at CNY 999 (around Rs. 10,400) and the top-end variant retails at 1,299 yuan (around Rs.13,500). Moreover, the middle variant gets a price tag of 1,199 yuan (roughly Rs.11,500).
Coming to the specs, the first budget device with notch under the Redmi series features a 5.84-inch FHD+ display with 19:9 aspect ratio and sized 1080 x 2280pixels of resolution. The smartphone also carries a very similar design to the Redmi Note 5 Pro which gives a premium appeal. Powering Xiaomi’s latest smartphone is an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 SoC along with Adreno 506 GPU is clubbed with up to 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage which can be expanded via external microSD card.
For photography, the Chinese smartphone has incorporated dual camer setup at the rear likewise Redmi 6. The dual camera module features 12MP primary sensor along with 5MP secondary sensor with AI portrait mode and AI scene detection feature. The handset also comes with 5MP selfie camera upfront for video calling and selfies. The 4G enabled smartphone comes packed with 4000 mAh battery along with connectivity options such as micro-USB, GPS, bluetooth, 3.5mm headphone jack and more.
The company is expected to launch the Redmi 6 Pro device alongside the Redmi 6 and Redmi 6A device in next couple of months. However, no official date has been revealed from the company yet. Moreover, the company has been teasing the devices for quite sometime now. Once launched in the country, the Redmi 6 Pro is likely to slotted in between Redmi Note 5 and Redmi Note 5 Pro in Xiaomi’s product lineup. The smartphone is expected to carry a starting price of Rs. 12,999.
