After unveiling the new Redmi 5 smartphone in the country last month, the smartphone yet again will go on flash sale today. The Redmi 5 will be available for purchase exclusively via Amazon India and Mi.com. The third flash sale of Redmi 5 smartphone will be limited stocks wherein interested buyers will require to log on to Amazon India or officially Mi India website (Mi.com) at 12pm for participating in the flash sale. Touted as a compact powerhouse by the Chinese smartphone manufacturing giant, the new Redmi 5 comes with slim body design, large bezel-less display, longer battery life and selfie camera.

The new Xiaomi Redmi 5 smartphone is offered in 3 variants - 2GB RAM/16GB, 3GB RAM/32GB and 4GB RAM/64GB. The smartphone is shipped with MIUI 9 based on Nougat Android out of the box. The main highlights of the smartphone are 5.7-inch HD+ display with 720x1440 pixels resolution, 18:9 aspect ratio, Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 SoC chipset, 3300mAh battery and much more.

As far as the photography is concerned, the Redmi 5 smartphone is fitted with 12MP shooter at the rear with f/2.2 aperture, PDAF and LED flash. For selfie lovers, the smartphone carries a 5MP camera with LED light for enhanced selfies and better video calling. It also comes with Smart Beauty 3.0 app. The connectivity duties on the new Xiaomi Redmi 5 are carried out by 4G VoLTE, Bluetooth 4.2, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, GPS, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. It also comes loaded with proximity sensor, accelerometer, gyroscope and ambient light sensor.

Lastly, the budget smartphone from Xiaomi attract buyers with starting price of Rs. 7,999 for the 2BG/16GB in-built storage variant. Moreover, Amazon will proffer 90 percent off Kindle e-books with maximum discount of up to Rs. 400 while Jio will also offer cashback of up to Rs. 2,200 in the form of vouchers and 100GB additional 4G data on recharges of Rs. 199 or Rs. 299
