Xiaomi, a Chinese smartphone maker has officially launched the third generation bezel-less smartphone in the Chinese market today. The new flagship device from Xiaomi will be pitted against the upcoming OnePlus 6T, which is slated to be launched globally on October 30. On the specification front, the smartphone comes with a 6.39-inch FHD+ display with 2340x1080px of resolution. Carrying an aspect ratio of 19.5:9, the phone comes with screen-to-body ratio of 93.4 percent. Under the hood, the device packs Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 SoC chipset, which comes clubbed with up to 10GB of RAM and up to 256GB of ROM. Moreover, the base variant gets 6GB of RAM and up to 64GB of inbuilt storage. The company seems to have put some efforts in the camera department with the new Mi MIX 3 as previous smartphones in the series were not that great in terms of camera.

The device is equipped with a dual camera module (12MP + 12MP) wherein the primary lens supports OIS and wider f/1.8 aperture and the secondary sensor gets 2X optical image stabilization as well as slower f/2.4 aperture. Upfront, the handset also gets dual camera (24MP and 2MP) for video calling and enhanced selfies. Featuring metal casing with a glass back, the newly launched Mi MIX 3 also supports wireless charging. The flagship device flaunts a slider mechanism for the selfie camera. The smartphone also gets conventional fingerprint reader at the back for added safety. Packed with 4000mAh battery with 10W wireless charging, the smartphone runs MIUI 10 based on Android Oreo. Moreover, the Chinese smartphone maker has also officially announced at the event that it will be introducing its first 5G enabled device by Q1 2019.

As far as the prices are concerned, the base variant of the new Mi MIX 3 flagship smartphone is priced from RMB 3299, which is around Rs 34,800 (6GB RAM and 64GB ROM). The mid variant with 8GB of RAM and 256GB ROM is priced at RMB 3999 (approximately Rs 42,200). However, the top-of-the-line variant with 10GB of RAM and 256GB of inbuilt storage is priced at RMB 4999 (around Rs 52,800). The device will be available for pre-orders from today onwards in China and will go on sale on November 1.
