Xiaomi, a popular smartphone maker is all geared up for the launch its second Android One device - Mi A2 in India today. The smartphone was launched globally last month in Spain as a successor to Xiaomi's first Android One device - Mi A1. The company will be streaming the event live from the venue, which is slated to commence from 4pm IST. For specifications, the dual-SIM handset will come fitted with a 5.99-inch full-HD+ display with 1080x2160 pixels and 18:9 aspect ratio. The display panel also comes with 2.5D curved glass protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5. Running stock version Android 8.1 Oreo, the new Xiaomi Mi A2 is expected to be powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 660 chipset, paired with Adreno 512 GPU and up to 6GB of RAM and up to 128GB of inbuilt storage. Coming to the camera department, the new Mi A2 handset too features a dual camera module at the rear likewise its predecessor. The primary sensor is a 12MP Sony IMX486 with f/1.75 aperture, while the secondary sensor is a 20MP secondary Sony IMX376 with f/1.75 aperture supported by dual-tone LED flash and PDAF. At the front, the new Xiaomi Mi A2 is fitted with a 20MP Sony IMX376 selfie camera with f/1.75 aperture and soft LED flash. As far as the prices are concerned, the exact pricing of the handset will be revealed at the launch. However, considering the global prices, the base variant - 4GB RAM + 64GB storage variant was introduced at EUR 279 (about Rs. 22,500). The bigger 6GB RAM + 128GB storage variant was launched at EUR 349 (about Rs. 28,000). For connectivity, the smartphone includes 4G LTE, Bluetooth v5.0, dual-band Wi-Fi 802.11ac, USB Type-C. However, the smartphone misses out on 3.5 headphone jack.
