After unveiling the new Mi 6X and Redmi S2 smartphones in the China recently, the Chinese smartphone maker is now planning to unveil the new smartphone on May 31 claims multiple sources. Going the same leaks, it is believed that Xiaomi will be revealing the new Mi 8 device as company's 8th anniversary smartphone. It is also rumored that the new Xiaomi Mi 8 smartphone will be packed with advanced specifications as per the leaked internal presentation. Talking about the specifications, the Xiaomi Mi 8 will sport a 6.01-inch display with an under-display enabled fingerprint scanner that can instantly unlock the phone. The smartphone will also be equipped with structured light 3D module for 3D facial scanning. The anniversary edition will sport other specifications such as Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 SoC, up to 6GB RAM, AI camera with 2x optical zoom and much more. Recently, a new image emerged on the internet which revealed further specifications of the smartphone ahead of its official launch. The image revealed that Mi 8 will come in 4 variants - 6GB/64GB, 8GB/128GB, 8GB/256GB and 8GB/512GB that are priced at 3,599 Yuan, 4,099 Yuan, 4,499 Yuan and 4,899 Yuan respectively. However, exact details and specifications will be revealed at the launch date, so expect more rumors and leaks rolling out ahead official roll out.
